Classic Ethiopian chickpea stew
Ingredients
1 cup shiro powder
2 onions, finely chopped
3 tbsp oil
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp berbere
Salt to taste
2 cups water
Instructions
Sauté onions in oil until soft.
Add garlic and berbere, stir gently.
Mix shiro powder with water separately.
Slowly add while stirring.
Simmer until smooth and thick.
