Ethiopia’s iconic spicy chicken stew
Ingredients
1 kg chicken, cleaned
4 onions, finely chopped
3 tbsp berbere
3 tbsp niter kibbeh
2 cloves garlic
2 boiled eggs
Salt to taste
Instructions
Cook onions slowly until deeply browned.
Add niter kibbeh and berbere.
Add chicken and simmer gently.
Add garlic and salt.
Add boiled eggs before serving.
